Climate change is a global challenge. We can only master this challenge if we take the path towards a CO2-neutral economy together. Our vision is an economy that achieves climate protection by using renewable energies and increasing efficiency, cost savings, and sustainability in production.
With a gross domestic product of €661 billion (2021), Bavaria with its more than 13 million inhabitants is one of the economically strongest and most dynamic regions in Europe and enjoys an excellent reputation worldwide as a high-tech location. Bavaria aims to be climate-neutral by 2040. This is an ambitious goal that we can only achieve with powerful partners worldwide.
Chile offers excellent conditions for renewable energy production and is the first country in Latin America with a strategy for green hydrogen and ambitious targets for its production and export. However, these huge opportunities also come with challenges in water management and environmental technologies.
Under the motto “Water is Energy” we will therefore travel to Chile with a delegation of business, research and multipliers. Bavaria can offer innovative solutions for Industry 4.0, Water 4.0, renewable energies and digitalization and is eager to be a partner for the Chilean economy on the path to more efficient, more cost-effective and, above all, more sustainable production. We want to meet strategic technology partners in Chile to work together to build a global green economy.
Our delegation, our representative in South America, Pamela Valdivia, and Ministerial Director Dr. Ulrike Wolf (Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy) are looking forward to constructive talks as well as sustainable ideas for the further expansion of the value chains between our countries.
