Bayern International is a company of the Free State of Bavaria and has been a key player in promoting Bavarian foreign trade for more than 25 years. A large number of projects are organised worldwide every year in cooperation with the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs. They all aim to support small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Bavaria in their export efforts. The extensive service programme includes trade fair participations, delegation trips, business trips, delegation visits, digital events and the “Key to Bavaria” company database.

The Bavarian State Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy officially inaugurated the Bavarian Representative Office for South America in 2013. Since then, the representative office has been supporting the service program of the AHKs, foreign trade activities, location marketing activities and helps maintain the partnership with Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Peru. Bavarian companies are the main target group of the activities of the Bavarian Representative Office, as well as companies in the representative country as partners of the Bavarian economy and potential investors in Bavaria. The Bavarian Representative Office for South America promotes Bavaria as a high-tech location in the aforementioned countries and thus supports Bavarian export business directly and indirectly.
